Eating is very important before your workout, I usually go with at least 20g protein and 25-50g complex carbs. I weight 190, so you may need more. I usually eat about 45 min to an hour before, if I eat anything and go workout immediatly i get a little queezy. Plus I have heard that eating right before your workout redirects energy to digestion that would otherwise be available for your lifts. Maybe someone else knows more about this, could just be a myth.
