I am hoping to make it to a deadlift contest this Friday night (3-26). Hope to get a personal best. If I can't make the contest I'll just have a mock contest at home and video it for the kids.

Ps. I lift conventional style but am going to maybe give sumo a try after the contest. It will be like starting all over again but it may pay off in the end.
Forgot I posted this. I went to the contest and got my personal best. I opened at 570, 2nd was 617 (PR was 616) 3rd attempt was 650. Since this was a meet record they let me go for another attempt. Tried 672, got it up to my knees and lost my grip. Still REAL happy though.

Am now starting to try the Sumo style deads. I want that 700 pound deadlift!
Again, thanks for the thread!

Peace,
Mad_dawg
