I think the issue of libido is quite complicated. There seems to be some consensus that it is related to dopamine. I read these posts where guys are on
TRT and their libido does not go up. Than their told to regulate their E2 and their libido still does not go up. I tried the
androgel route and my Total T and free T were pretty good and my E2 was normal and my libido did not go up.
Personally I've had better results with drugs that affect dopamine. I've found that 5 - 10 milligrams of
selegiline has had a good affect on my libido and sometimes I've combined that with phenylalanine. I've also found that when I'm on ritalin my libido goes up. I believe that ritalin affects dopamine release.
One summer several years ago I put together a cocktail of
selegiline + phenylalanine + low dose t3 + .25 mg
arimidex eod. I was not on any type of
testosterone supplementation. My libido was sky high while i was on that combo. I felt good and also had a lot of energy.
