I gave a mnemonic on the post - MADE - which puts into easy categories how a drug is handled by the body. M- Metabolism; A - Absorption; D - Distribution; E - Excretion. (The actual physiological order is ADME) In the case that you are citing the variable that would probably fluctuate the most is D - Distribution.
