Their stated concern for "liver damage" does not seem to be supported in current literature I've searched on PubMed.
It is in their best interest to promote the "sickness" industry. Men and women whose hormones are maintained at optimum levels have fewer chronic diseases. For example, the research is out there that testosterone is good for the heart. The Mayo ckinic way is to prescribe statin drugs, and a whole pharmacopia of drugs to mask symptoms. This is SOP for many conditions. Do they look for and treat hypothyroidism with Armour Thryoid? Do they promote awareness of adrenal insufficiency? NO and NO. Diagnosing and treating those problems on a large scale would turn the American system of healthcare upside down. We would no longer be a nation of tired, sick, and overweight people. The Mayo Clinic is the bastion of regressive medicine that helps insurance companies and the pharmaceutical industry get richer, while people get sicker.

All male doctors need to be on a one year cycle of Proscar and Androcur. Maybe then, a hypogonadal man would be treated with the same care given to other patients.
