Spinach, asparagus, carrots, and many other "good" vegetables, since they are so low in sugar, are also extremely low in carbohydrates and calories!! All of the above mentioned vegetables only have 10-30 calories and 7-10gm of carbs PER CHOPPED CUPFULL.
In otherwords, if I want 20gm of carbs per meal from "good" vegetables, I need to eat either 6 cups of spinach, 3 cups of carrots, or 5 cups of broccoli PER MEAL!
I don't know if that much fibrous vegetable would even fit into my stomach!
How do you guys deal with this problem?! |
The first step is to eliminate sugar, potato's, bread, juices, sodas, pasta, white rice, and cereals. Also high fat foods. Whole fruits and vegies are ok and healthy. Eat low glycemic foods.
