The only way to tell if your Adrenals are not working do to them being over worked is to have an
ACTH stimulation test you can read about it here. If your adrenals are not working do to Ritalin your test will not go up much after you get the ACTH. But if your Secondary like you say you are your level will double because you adrenals are good just don't get the message from your pituitary to make cortisol.
