Default test and hepatitis c?

I have a friend that is wanting to do a cycle of testosterone, he doesn't know which type of test yet if that even matters, but he was diagnosed with hepatitis c about a year ago. I obviously know that test is going to make your liver work harder than usual, but the question is how much harder? He has been working out for a year, doesn't drink or do any other drugs at all. He told me liver count is fine as of right now. He is about 6 feet tall, a lean 175-180 pounds and 26 years of age. Like I said I don't what kind of testosterone he is going to get ,but, I know its a once a week deal. A ten week cycle at 1 ml a week.

With that said, I guess what I'm trying to find out is the risks of taking the test and dose I have specified. I know there isn't any 100% way of knowing exactly what will happen, but how much more likely would my friend be of having damage done to his liver? Temporary or irreversible?

Thank you for your time and concern. I'm new, but so far, this has been a very informative site and has answered a lot of questions I've been wondering. Your response will be very appreciated.
