Have you tried to get help from Social Security? Did you have this checked with a doctor/surgeon?
There has to be some kind of program to help people when something goes wrong. Check the Web and look into every possible plan the maybe available to you. I'm not sure about elective surgery being covered by these plans. I have a V.A.M.C. card and if something snaps, pops, or breaks, Uncle Sam does the repair work.
