It's hard to sometimes avoid the pain when you are dealing with Oil based steroids. The best advice I can give is.....prior to injection buy a bottle of Ambesol and with a q-tip rub it into the area you are injecting. If you can get your hands on some of lidocaine gel (like the one the dentists use) that would be even better.
