It depends on what type (if any) of hypogonadism you are suffering from. If you are secondary, then it is possible that the introduction of exogenous
testosterone will shut off your production of endogenous
testosterone. If this causes testicular atrophy, you will have great difficulty returning to your "natural levels." This is part of the reason why some say "
TRT is for life."
So, if you are secondary, it isn't wise to play fool around with testosteroene. An LH analog like
hCG is safer, although you will still need to be careful because you could end up desensitizing your testicles.
