The liver controls a LOT of essential biochemical processes involving digestion, energy storage and waste removal. It is probably the most complicated organ we have. Malfunctions can cause a myriad of symptoms.
The "non alcoholic fatty liver" indicates that one or more commonly checked liver enzymes, liver function involves ~500 enzymes, is out of range and that the cause is not from long-term excessive alcohol use.
Basicially liver cells are being replaced with fat cells. This process is not good but the rate must be considered in order to appraise the significance. If you were 76yo and this came on in the past month it would not be good. You- I dont know- insufficient information.
You need a skilled diagnostician and a variety of blood tests.
diet has little to do with it
