Over active parathyroid Dear Dr. Scally,
I've always had problems putting on weight no matter how much or how often I lift although I have naturally strong legs and back. So recently I started my first cycle, I'm 48. I'm taking 3 milliliters of Test and 2 milliliters of Decca per week, the test is split into two doses. I've been on this now for about six weeks.
Before I started my cycle I had bloodwork done and it's been determined that I have a over-active parathyrpid and my natural test level was low (170). I'm going for an MRI Thursday and they're going to probably cut the parathyroid out.
I'm wondering how this is effecting my training and my ability to gain muscle and lose fat. Should I wait until after I have the surgery to continue my cycle? I'm really lost at this point under the circumstances.
I also am doing the Rock Hard Challange workout put out by Muscle and Fitness Magazine and I did the diet that came a long with it and I got fat on it. It was tons of food and lots of white carbs too. They also have me taking Leukic, Anatore and Gakic plus of course protein powder. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Phil Barone |
