Drug testing

Dear Mr. Llewellyn,

I work for an employer that conducts hair testing for drugs. The test is supposedly used to detect such drugs as Marijuana, Cocaine and so on. The employer tried to intimidate us by telling us that they also test for Steroids. What I would like to know is, can they just run a test looking randomly for Steroids in a person or do they have to pin point what they are looking for exactly? And how good is this hair test at even detecting Steroids? Do Steroids just show up in random drug tests like the bad drugs if they are not specifically being looked for? Your answer to my question will help me a lot.

chances are slim of anabolic panel, too $$$$ for them to do usually in govt agencies they will test only if u are under "suspicion"
