Wins it 3 times. If that doesn't qualify him as one of the greatest... I don't know what does.
I'd rather look like 3 time Mr. Olympia Frank Zane... than 6x winner Dorian or 8x winner Ronnie any day.
If we also consider Arnold in his prime versus Frank in his prime... then sure, I'd rather look like Arnold. But the bloated guts of most guys from Dorian to now... no thanks.
Let's not forget 8 time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney. Nobody could touch him throughout the 80's and early 90's. Huge back, broad shoulders, tiny waist. Great stage presence... he beat a reigning Mr. Olympia and no other top BB of the 80's though '91 could ever take his crown. He retired with a record 8 Olympia wins, as the reigning Mr. Olympia. Which is something Ronnie couldn't do.
Best regards,

I actually like the Dorian of the early '90's but by about '95 he had overdone it and the gut/midsection was just too big. Similar to what happened with Ronnie. When he first started winning the Olympia in '98-'99, he looked phenomenal. But in the quest for size, he quickly lost what made him great as his gut just ballooned out.
To me, a tight midsection is just as important as arm or leg development and overall symmetry when looking for greatness. You either have what it takes to be both developed and symmetrical, or you might as well go be a powerlifter.
Best to you!

| | Re: flex wheeler Pretty much every BB that went against Flex routinely was pretty much watching their back around contest time to see how he came in. Dialed in the early 90's flex was scary, not scary big but scary cut. He got a skinfold test I think hes first arnold classic win at 0. As in he had no subdermal fat whatsoever. Dorian yates I said he has the best genetics for BB thats every walked the planet that we know of, if he could keep his head out of his ass for long enough to make it matter.
