Hello all, I am a 21 year old male and i have been battling fatigue for years. I have gone to many doctors, had many tests done but so far to no avail. However, at my last doctors appointment I decided to ask for as many tests as I could to rule things out (pesticides, heavy metals, etc.) as well as testosterone. Now my doctors an idiot and told me my testosterone of 309 ng/dl is normal because the test said it was within range. I guess he didnt realize I'm not an 80 year old man. After doing some research through google I luckily found myself here. After reading some posts I realized you members know your stuff and could possibly help me out. I have been struggling since i was 15 and i believe I finally might have found the cause of all my fatigue, weakness, insomnia, etc. I read some posts and got a 1st round of tests, they seem low but i was hoping for some feedback.
Here are my blood results as of November 13 2009:

Testosterone, Serum: 469 ng/dl
Testosterone, Free: 11.82 ng/dl
% free testosterone: 2.52
Dihydrotestosterone: 43 ng/dl
LH:2.0 mIU/ml
FSH 5.2 mIU/mL
Insulin-Like Growth Factor I 347 H ng/mL
Cortisol 19.3 ug/dL
DHEA-Sulfate 294 ug/dL
Prolactin 12.4 ng/mL
Sex Horm Binding Glob, Serum 23 nmol/L

I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in 2 weeks but I was wondering if I should go ahead and order some more tests (estrogen, thyroid?). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as so far I have had to do this all by myself without any help and its quite confusing. I force myself to exercise even though I'm so tired, yet afterwards is the only time I ever feel good. I have some muscle but I am alot weaker than I should be. Also I should note that I used to take soy supplements. A LOT of soy supplements. I think that may have caused this.

Hi all,

Recently I've had a couple of blood tests as I reported a number of symptoms to the doctor which are similar to those of people with low testosterone levels. As a framing for this I am 31. Results are:

1st test - 30th October

Serum Testosterone - 7.6 nmol/L (219.21 ng/dL)

2nd test - 12th November

Serum Testosterone - 10.3 nmol/L (297.08ng/dL)
SHBG 15 nmol/L

Should I persue this further or take the doc's advice that as I'm within lab ranges now and should have reasonable free testosterone all is as it should be?

Lab ranges given are:

Serum Testosterone 8.4 nmol/L - 28.7 nmol/L
SHBG 13 nmol/L - 71 nmol/L

If all is ok then all good and life goes on, if I should look at this some more the guidance of those with more knowledge and experience would be appreciated.

Symptoms are unchanged.

Thanks!

Hi everybody.

Quick background. I was always overweight, balooning up to 320lbs (5'11) 6 years ago. I finally got tired of it and got into mixed martial arts and weight lifting. Using a number of cycles of prohormones and steroids (orals) over the course of two years i brought my weight down to 200lbs and added significant muscle mass. At this point i got married, stopped any hormonal supps, stopped training in mixed martial arts, and weightlifting, and spent more time working.
3 years later, after gaining 80lbs, i tried the hcg diet (bad idea) and although after many attempts to lose weight, this was the one time i lost significant weight in 3 years. After losing 20lbs (in 2 weeks) i stopped the diet and resumed normal eating. I was able to maintian the 20lb weight loss, but not lose any more, despite excercise and diet.

Beyond this, i have been moody, lacking in energy, and not sexually vigorous (2-3 times per month only). The other day i sat down and realized that i had all the symptoms of low testosterone. I went in for a test yesterday, and after the bloodwork was done, i decided (still had hcg) to inject hcg at 1250iu per week (166 each night).
Its hard to describe, but since yesterday i have felt better than i have in years, and am now convinced that i have always had low test. I feel almost euphoric, like im on ecstasy or speed, but without being stimulated or anything. Just feel good. Its very strange, but very reassuring. I also feel very confident, and my sex drive is coming back very quicky, i actually want to have sex now!

Is this normal after having low test?
Will the feeling go away (i hope not)

I'm 64, diagnosed with low T 18 months ago. Using Testim and feel good most of the time. I've tried DHEA, Indolplex DIM and various doses of Androgel or Testim to try to get T and E2 right. There have been times when I feel very good and times when I don't feel as well. The past 3 or 4 months have been those when I feel very good. Libido and ED are good, depression gone and strength back up. Orgasms vary from OK to great, just as always. The problem is that my penis is not as sensitive as it had been until a year ago. What are the possible causes of this?

I last at least twice as long as before, like 20 or more minutes instead of 10 to 15 minutes. My wife liked the 10 to 15 minutes and so did I. It is impossible for her to get me to orgasm with oral any more without me helping her. Occasionally I never do orgasm. It is a definite change from 2 years ago and perhaps even 18 months ago when my total T varied between 250 and 300 and my E2 was 25. It doesn't seem to matter if my total T is 350 or 860 or if my E2 is <20 or 57. Those things matter to the libido and ED, but sensitivity is constant and lower than it has eve been in my life.

Is this just an age thing or does it have something to do with hormones?

Another thing is that my nipples have been sensitive all my life, until my penis sensitivity dropped. I used to always have to wear a cotton undershirt to keep a dress shirt from irritating them. Now I have no problem at all with that. Are the 2 related?

after searching the web on the long term effects of HCG shots.

The HCG hormone can be made synthetically or extracted from a pregnant woman's
urine and then processed for use by other humans.

My major concern besides the physiological effect of sticking syringes into your
thigh or subQ 150 times a year is what are the long term effects of HCG therapy?
Has there been any medical research performed on mice/monkeys etc on the safety
on long term HCG. Can long term use cause cancer? Can long term use damage the
endoctrine system? Can long term use cause heart or vascular problems?

Long term TRT has many medical research papers on the benefits and side effect
such that we can feel confident in TRT use. But long term HCG therapy has none
which for me is scary

Made sure I thoroughly washed that part of arm where blood was drawn.

Anyone else get those type of levels on Androgel.

I've backed down to 1 sachet a day.

I trying to purchase some clomid to see if I respond and perhaps try a restart. Where I live(denmark) you can't order prescription meds like in the UK or the US: I was hoping someone one could help me out. I'll order and pay for the clomid from ADC and send it your adress and send you some money for the postal. I could chip in some extra money so you could earn a bit on it too if you'd like.

PM me if you could help a brother out.
