Any bros diabetic?

I went to the doctor today and described some of the symptoms I've been dealing with for about a year now, then he said he thinks I'm diabetic. Man, I'm only 22! He said I'm gonna have to make major changes in my eating habits, and cut way back on my protein. He says I should focus more on moderate cardio then the heavy weight lifting I love so much. I'm stunned. He said he'd confirm his diagnosis when he gets my blood work back next week, but he's almost certain I'm diabetic. I don't know what to do. I'm only 235 @ about 15% body fat. I didn't know I could get diabetes without being a fat ass.

Does anybody else live with this condition and still lift weights hard core? I'm seriously considering a second opinion, but judging by the worstening symptoms, I admit I think my doc's right. Please tell me there's hope for bodybuilding as a diabetic.

whats your symptoms? I have a minor case of diabetes , but nothing that requires insulin or anything, I just have to make sure and eat right.

Nothing major in my opinion, but my doc seemed pretty concerned-thirsty alot, vision problems, but the main thing is my kidneys don't seem to be up to par. He won't know for sure until he get the urine test results back.

What do you mean by eat right? Like, what is a typical day's diet for you, and how much do you weigh?

What I mean by symptoms is are you gettin dizzy, lightheaded, weak at times?/ if so what has mad these symptoms go away for you ? , eating sugar,or that sort of thing?

I do get light headed and feel like I'm about to pass out if I go along time without eating. But usually I eat every 3-4 hours to try to gain more mass. For example, if I wake up at 7 am and don't eat I'll be sick by 11

bro! thats the exact same symtoms as me. as bb's we exert alot of energy which drains your body, you CANNOT go that long without eating and expect not to have weekness , your body has nothing left to run on, bro ! unless you have more side effects than your tellin or you have kidney damage etc., just eat bro! and you'll be fine, works for me and it sounds like we have the same thing. good luck bro! hope this helps and you get well.

what other symptoms do you have? i think your doc is a little strange for saying he's almost positive with this little about of information. but maybe i'm wrong!
