Yep, seems like Clinton fucked his fellow democrats by having the assault weapons ban expire when it did... Now they are too afraid to vote on it this close to an election in fear that it will get them voted out of office

The only thing that sucks... All of my Pre-ban clips that were worth anywhere from 60-80 dollars are now only worth about $20

I'd be so happy to see that ban go. Talk about ridiculous, banning firearms based upon cosmetic charecteristics. An AR-15 with a flash suppressor and bayonet lug is a dangerous weapon for criminals but remove it and it's a sporting firearm. Ridiculous! I'm adamantly opposed to any infringement on our second ammendment rights but this bill was not just unconstitutional, it was silly.

I agree, I got my AK-47 for 140 bones before the ban brand new. I sold it awhile after the ban and made a few dollars off of it. I still have some of those 7.62mm, I guess its time to buy another one if the ban is lifted.

i agree totally- i've had several friends get killed in disputes by handguns/ assault rifles by kids who didn't know how to fight but wanted to start shit anyway. guns always seem to fall into the wrong hands, whether it be kids, criminals, nut jobs, postal workers, etc..... if i sound, like i feel pretty strongly about this, i do. this is getting ridiculous- anyone that says "guns don't kill people, people kill people" is ignorant. it takes much less time/thought/anger/rage to pull a trigger than to beat someone to death, or even stab someone. i am a pretty open-minded person, but hand guns and assault rifles are made for killing and not self-defense- humans not deer. i will give you a good example- how many shootings, murders, and kids shooting themselves do you hear about, compared to someone shooting someone else in self-defense? it's an extremely disproportionate amount that equals out to one thing- having handguns/assault rifles stay legal and widely availiable aren't worth the trouble they cause. now i'm sure all the educated members of this board wouldn't perpetuate any wrongdoing w/ their weapons, but there are a lot of people out there who will. and befoe anyone bashes me for being a pinko liberal john kerry-loving pussy, i'm not. i am fiscally and socially conservative

When guns are outlawed only the outlaws will have them. Most people who commit crimes with guns usually obtain the weapon illegally anyways. If guns are banned the average joe wont have anything, and a criminal with any kind of firearm (that he got illegally, and the ban did nothing for) will know almost any house he chooses would not be able to defend itself. Right now they know its dangerous to break into a house because of the amount of people who own weapons. Just my opinion.
