I am posting to get some outside view points, and any advice would be greatly appreciated as well. I am going to Tijuana for a bachelor party for a friend overnight, and we are all American citizens, live in Northern California, but will be traveling to San Diego and then to Tijuana to party, and staying in hotel in Tijuana. We are driving and leaving our cars in San Diego, and taking the Grey Hound bus over border, but there might be some changes and I might take rental car over to hotel (I recently found out that I need to purchase Mexico Auto Insurance) and checking into hotel. I am seriously considering stopping of at a local Mexican pharmacy before returning back home. Just looking to get some personal items; clen tabs, trenbolone bottles (no more than 2) and winstol bottles (no more than 2), and keep for personal use. I have never been to Mexico, but would like some feedback regarding situation, or advice. Not looking for tricks, but maybe some forms of caution, or heads-up on things for fellow young bodybuilder.

I live in San Diego and don't feel comfortable doing that. Drug smuggling is just not for me. I've been down there a few times just for fun. Each time I walked across. Each time I stopped into a pharmacy and brought something back. First time down, I brought back some cytomel. Second time, brought back some cipro and amoxicillin. I left the pill bottles in my bag each time, and each time they x-rayed it, and each time they let it go without question. Not even a glance at me with suspicion. It's funny too, because alot of the border guards are jacked up bodybuilders. They probably don't even look twice at me because I'm not a big guy. I have a smaller frame for 6' tall and dress conservatively. A few things you should know though: I believe [at least most] steriods are illegal in Mexico, but the laws are a little complicated and have little consequence, (this is my interpretation). You can get test from a pharmacy, but pretty much everything else has to be bought at a Vet shop. These veterinarian boutiques operate under similar laws as research chemicals are sold on websites. T-Mag wrote an article about carrying over gear from Mexico. Try searching their site. One of my bosses lives in TJ and commutes here everyday. Why on earth he would be willing to drive through that crazy border crossing everyday is beyond me, but he does it. And he is always on time. He says it's no big deal, so it seems the risk is very low.... Anyways, good luck.

Why not just take the bus across with your pals, grab some goods and hide/tape them in your crotch? A cops not gonna grab your nuts on a basic search, maybe if they wanna strip search you, but how often does that happen? Going across by yourself all sober and nervous makes you look suspcious; coming back with a crowd and having a couple drinks makes it look like you guys just went down to party. If you do take your car, don't hide the gear in your car; keep it on yourself, crotch it once again. Normally during a car search, they will only search your car, not your crotch. Probably won't be much of a problem in TJ since it is big and you prolly won't get parking near the Vet; however I thought I'd just mention it. If you ever stop at a vet or pharmacy on the way out, don't park right in front of the place. Ya never know if these guys get paid for tip offs and will notice what kind of car you're driving. Call me paranoid, but I would wear sunglasses and a different colored shirt when doing your shopping, then change color shirts when you get back to the car. This is probably a better strategy when crossing over from a small border town in the dessert rather than TJ. TJ is big; I doubt you would have any problems with so many people crossing through, but just thought I'd throw it out there. ~Joffa |
