Default Had to pull the plug. Thank God for Hospice!

Last month my Mom had a massive stroke. She could have existed for several months,
unconscious and on life support. My sister and I knew she would have
hated that so we " Pulled the plug. " Tough decision. Thank God for
Hospice! They were with us for her last two weeks and made her,and us,
comfortable with our decision. THe hospice pamphlet on the phases of
dying should be mandatory reading for those who are alive. By the way ,
my Mom's last words to me was "Oh Yeah" to my question"Would you
like a shot of whiskey?" Cheers,Mom ,I love and miss you.

Sorry for your loss dawg. You and sis should be commended for your selflessness in letting your Mom go. Many people keep loved ones alive out of selfishness. Hospice is great, helped me ease my mother out after years of suffering with emphysema.

My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mother.

The folks who work for Hospice are saints in times like these.

I send my best to you bro-- I am sorry for you and your family- but she is in a better place, and she is still with you. Tough decisions only make us more courageous.

Hospice can be a big help in these matters. No one can say they know what you went thru or are going thru but I can say I relate. Sorry for your loss and God bless you brother.

Sorry bro, but it's good that you could make that decision. Hopefully she had a long life and wasn't too young. I actually interned for a publicly traded hospice last year in the finance/accounting department, and I can say that it really is a great service. I wasn't involved in helping people but I saw a lot of videos and pictures. It does a lot of good in helping people close out their lives with some happiness and respect. The people in the company were all so nice it was amazing.
