Hey Joe, i'm going to need alot more info to be able to help. first off: I don't beleive Roxy Easy CD Creator is able to transfer to your phone? did you get this prog with the phone or with the computer? Second: What error message you get when installing the software. Third: what is the make and model of your phone and i may be able to get you a prog for it. |

You might not need any software. When you plug your phone into your computer, you should be able to go to My Computer and see your phone as a removable drive. Double click on it then just drag the MP3s on to it and they should copy over.

my phone is a motorola i870, nextel service. The cd rom disk it came with is roxio easy media creator7 basic vcd (v7.1.0.183). And Here's how I believe it hooks up to the computer: the phone doesnt actually connect to the computer, the bundle came with a usb cable which goes from the computer, and a memory/smartdisk adapter card is inserted into the other end of the cable. This adapter has an opening where you insert the memory card from the phone into it. I was under the impression this is how files were transferred back and forth, since the sales guy, and i think the manual says i need no other cable, just the one it came with. As far as the error message, i'll have to try to reinstall it, it doesnt pop up till the very end, and it's a lot of garble i cant understand. Once the error message pops up, it rolls back the install automatically.

thanks guys, especially chad. It seems my card needed just to be formatted first, and I dont even need the program cd the phone came with. I did find out though it wouldnt take songs with long titles, so i just renamed them to a shorter title. My card is weak, I need to buy a bigger storage card to hold more songs, but I mainly bought the phone for the bluetooth, not the mp3 player anyway. Thanks again.
