Im just curious here to know how many bro's have a girl who knows the jist of what they do, pharmacologically, day in and day out? Im honestly wondering if it goes over well? Ive seen threads on this before. Sorry for bringing it up again.
But really, theres a lot of "girls" out there that are needy and dependent and will take what they can get, all the while of course wondering if they can do better. This has been proven in several threads currently running in this forum. To me, those seem to be the only ones that would be "ok" with it... the one girl that knew I used was this type of girl so maybe my view is squewed. I wouldnt dare admit to some of the girls I know that I could date just because I know that they wouldnt welcome it because they'd see it all for what it really is.
And then there are women who are much different for "girls" and have all the traits girls dont have. Ive run into some classy chicks (at least thats the way they've come off) and a majority would seem smart enough to know that AAS can be harmful and would raise a brow to thought of their bf using them. Regarless of that issue, these types of chicks would also look deeper and see that it may be a character problem as to why one would use steroids and ultimately choose not to date this person any longer.
Basically, I think i fear this, therefore I avoid those that are grown up and secure and smart and tend to move towards the immature, girly chicks. Although the girly chicks usually put out quicker and go without a fight so that makes em more attractive, at times
Overall, im just worried that I may be spoiling myself from some women that are obviously a better choice for a gf, by using AAS. Its obvious now, as i get comments all the time, "woah dude, how much do you weigh now?". you know its obvious people now or have a huntch by the way they treat you, men and women.

I told my now-fiancee as soon as we started dating. She has been completely ok with it, asks questions, and probably knows more about AAS than a lot of the guys on this board. Shes not needy or codependent. Shes smart, articulate, and holds a good job. She is mature enough to realize that the news media doesnt always portray everything accurately, that there is two sides to the story. Overall, she was cool with it, and her only concern being for my health.

I am one of the lucky ones like Bob. I was up front with my girl when we started dating and told her I used them. She was upset at first because of all the BS that the media has to say on the issue. I sat with her and answered all of her questions, let her read some threads and medical journals. She is fully supportive of anything I do but does worry about my health and is pretty adamant about me getting my checkups which is good. She is not needy nor dependent but does love me and therefor takes the time to understand and educate herself on the issue so she can make her own conclusions and not have them based on the biased opinion of the general public.

My wife doesn't agree with it but gives me shots. If you plan on staying with a girl then they will have to find out sooner or later. If you don't plan on staying with the girl don't tell them because they will use it against you when you break up They will tell your family friends.. the cops. They can get vicious when they're pissed... I think women care more about how much time their men spend in the gym(not enough time with them)rather than what suppliments they take. I was refering to what Manwhore was about women not liking men who are too into themselves. Thats what I was eluding too. Im sure some dont mind and wouldnt mind dating the vainest of men. However, no one, male or female, likes an overly vain man. After having read the last half of your original post again(I must have missed it or something because I don't remember it) I am more convinced that you have guilt issues or something. If you think that you are limiting your choice of women by doing this, then why continue to do it if those particular women are the ones you want? actually you are mistaken. Some of it depends on the size of a town but around here a girl would have no trouble getting the right cop to pay a guy a visit or watch for packages. Same with the postal inspector. Everyone in small towns knows the PI. She could very easily influence him to check incoming packs. So many small town cops are dying for some excitement. They throw the lawbook out the window. Now you can say get a lawyer right? Well considering that the judge is also the only attn in the county besides the DA, that can get rather expensive paying an attorney drive time etc. All can be avoided by keeping your mouth shut.

Now on to custody hearings. Imagine your gf showing up at the copshop with a syringe that "she found" in your sons diaper bag. He was at your house over the weekend. Mustve been unsupervised and gotten into your stash. Hell she could even have a syringe you have used so it has your blood on it.Now dont laugh b/c these are actual scenarios, but are normally reserved for the coke heads. This will lead to temporary custody, child endangerment charges against you, your house etc searched, and one hell of a bill for an attn. to hopefully get you out of the bogus shit. WOnt leave much in the piggy bank for the actualy custody hearing.
Now in a city, i will say that cops will laugh and say bring me some real proof. Either way, I say keep your mouth shut. No worries than. Maybe I'm old-fashioned but I believe honesty should be the foundation of any meaningful relationship.

I can't tell you how many AAS users I've talked to who are scared of their girlfriends, fiancees, wives and try to deny or hide their use of AAS. Quite cowardly, if you ask me.

First of all, if you are ashamed of what you are doing, then maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place. You really shouldn't be afraid to be yourself and if this means you're an AAS-using bodybuilder, then so be it. If you are afraid to stand up for anything controversial or wish to conform to the norm and want to appeal to the like, then this lifestyle is not for you.

If you're in a meaningful relationship, I'd be concerned about the type of relationship you are involved in if you're keeping secrets of this magnitude (and this is a big deal since you are dealing with a controlled substance and putting a lot at risk that doesn't just involve yourself but also your significant other). If you're willing to hide this fact not to mention lying about the diversion of significant amount of funds to this 'lifestyle', then there are probably other big secrets you're willing to keep. Deception and dishonesty tends to be reciprocated in relationships, so don't be surprised if your significant other has some secrets of her own. It you can't trust your partner, there are problems.

Having said that, I can see circumstances where I can understand lying or hiding your use of AAS...

For one, casual flings. Really, no need to open your life story if the relationship is obviously going nowhere long-term or based on short-term sexual gratification. Even so, you're partner would probably care less if you used AAS since you're just a fuck buddy. They will overlook a lot of things since they're only focused on the here and now as I'm sure you would as well.

Another risky situation, dating in small towns. College campuses are rarely a problem. The atmosphere is more liberal to begin with and there is an infinite number of mating opportunities lol. It's possible that you could be stigmatized, but unlikely in a large college town. But in a small town or home town community, it's a different story.

The big overarching concern is admitting and being honest about committing a relatively serious crime (according to the CSA). I'm all for honesty but not for jeopardizing your freedom. This should always be a concern when discussing the use of any illicit drugs. But when it comes to relationships, there will probably be several opportunities where you can evaluate the trust you have in your partner. If they pass the first tests of trusts, then you can probably trust them with more serious issues.
