Default how to uninstall and computer tracking software

Hey bros, I bought a computer from a buddy that was so cheap something has to be up. He said it was his, but anyways. I know there is computer tracking software out there, how do i delete it. I know that a reformat won't work, so let me know. thanks.

Nothing to worry about, and if you are anyway, a format and reinstallation of the OS will definitely get rid of any 'tracking' software. I'm a net admin and do this for a living if that helps you trust the information I'm sharing.

If your really worried, you can always run "kill disk" and then reformat. Kill disk wipes out everything off your comp.

i dont know about having to use killdisk, because if you format the disk, it's wiped completely clean, so it might not be worth buying. however, if you can find it for free , it wouldn't hurt.

but yeah, just format and reinstall the OS. make sure you have the OS disk on hand. if not, download that too.
