Left NY as a kid...thank the Lord!! Lived in Texas, Louisiana, Dont recomend either!! lol

In Cary, NC now after leaving Ft. Bragg in 99. Stay the hell away from Bragg!!! But an hour away you'll be in Cary...Super place, rated top in several catagories. 2 hours from the beach. 5-10 minutes away from downtown Raleigh.

I know a few sharp realtors too... let me know if ya need more info Bro.

Texas! That's an easy answer!

Really though, I think Arizona is great. It might get hot, but it isnt humid so it isnt too bad. But the perk is that the cost of living is good, and you can wear shorts year round.

Also, I wouldnt mind living in the Northwest, like Oregon or Northern Cali.

Arizona... to me, the most beautiful place on earth. I love the desert. AZ is also a biker's paradise.

Hmmm...I grew up in northern VA, Fairfax to be presice(Close to D.C) for various reasons I ended up in Houston,TX and I would love to come back!!! but my wife(TX Girl) does not want to, she says it may be too cold and she do not want to leave TX. I really do not like Houston anymore, there is a lot of poverty and is very divided (Rich/Poor, no hard working middle class) I don't know I may be too much a democrat...I am in the wrong state, yeah I know VA is Republican. I like VA because the quality of life is better, cleaner streets, better parks, better schools , subway system(real) etc...

Boston, MA would be nice too.

I agree with ya there...this area is very, very diverse and minority friendly.....but the prices...in Northern VA and DC are crazy....looked at a one room condo 980 square feet...684,000 bucks....fuck that!

Boston is nice but the cost of housing is outrageous. A raised ranch on half an acre with run you $350,000 or more except in bumfuck.

We are looking to buy a house and in NC, you can get twice the house or more for the same money.
We looked near ashville and were finding New construction with 4 bedrooms 2.5 baths and 2 car garage on a manicured acre for $250,000. ( here that will get you a run down shack)

Are next vaca is gonna be down there to see what the job market and surroundings are like.

If we buy here we are gonna go duplex to help with the mortgage...we dont like 70-120 year old houses so 3 levels are out.

If you have no limits on money then I wouldnt live anywhere but here....love the 4 seasons and as long as you have 4 wheel drive and a kid to shovel your driveway then I wouldnt trade fall in New England for anyplace save a few diving destinations.

On average a 2500 SQ Ft 3 BDR w/Bonus room and office depending on lot size 1/2 to 1 acre will run between 160-230k depending on the neighborhood...some butt up against the greenways so those are premo $$ I could give less of a shit for golf so mine was closer to 160k in June of 01... just refi'd and the appraisal came in at 215k...not too shabby!

Cary, NC gets my vote... again! lol

i can tell you this C-J.... when me and my other half come down there in a couple weeks I will definitely check out Cary... its close to Greensboro.... where i might be working. Our house right now is going to sell around 400 K to be on the light side. i think it could go for about 425. so i'm gonna love building a huge house and still coming out on top.

If I could live anywhere, it would be with Jennifer Love Hewitt. And I would let her make the house payments.
