IRC for Meso

Hey guys/gals how about an IRC channel for this beutifull forum, there is no more of a risk cause we just talking hypathadical (sp) plus information is free and legal. would anyone be willing to do this. If so I would/could get it going for anyone.

Unless there is one already and I don't belong to it.

hehe OK sure, I guess I never even thought to elaberate a little on it.

IRC is Internet Relay Chat.

its basically where we can all get together in real time and talk to each other and ask questions. its like this forum but you could get answers with in seconds and hold a convertation with some on.

Think of it as the Virtual office water cooler. Or talking to a buddy or stranger on the phone.

If its ok with the admins I will put one up and see how it goes. will give the address later.

What you will need is a program like mIRC just google it.

ok for all those that know how to use IRC that address is

Server: ISO.Elite-Irc.Net
Port: 6667-6669,7000
Channel: #MESO-Rx

for those that don't;
1. download and install mIRC
2. open mIRC
3. click file >> select server
4. under Connect click servers
5. IRC Network "all"
6. IRC Servers click on "Edit"
7. Descrption enter what ever you want
8. IRC SERVER enter ISO.Elite-Irc.Net
9. Port enter 6667-6669,7000
10. Group enter Elite-Irc
11. click OK
12. click connect to server
13. type "\j #MESO-Rx" (with out the quotes)
done, if i missed a step let me know thanks

The channel is up but it is empty and the topic in #meso-rx is spelled wrong!!

We had one a long time ago but I'm not sure what happened with it. I guess it just faded away.

you have to be extremely careful with IRC's you never know who's servers your running through

The Server i'm on I trust very muchly (is that a word?) anywho I have been on that server for sometime now going on 3 years and have never had a problem. I trust the people there.

Plus there will be no selling, advertising or trading going on.
