her lawyer can ask for anything. doesnt mean you have to give it to her.

Which over the course of a year is 3600. Over the course of 5 years it is 18,000. 10 years...well, by then she'll have gone back to court to get an even higher amount of your check and it'll be up to 50k.

our laws are so fucking outdated that this subject makes me insane. These laws are still based on the stay at home mom of the 60's. Women are perfectly capable of supporting themselves. They have more grants and programs for small business loans and free college than men. They can support themselves just fine if they want to. It is bullshit and I am sorry you are dealing with this. I don't really feel bad anymore, the more I think about it, what say's asking for is some what fair don't you think? Half of child care, half of med and 20% for every day needs. And the 20% part is what the state says she should get because of where we live.

pay half for the kid is obviously fair. Pay anything to her is a ripoff. Wait until she has a guy living with her. Make sure you get a copy of his mail being sent to her house or vice versa if she moves in with a guy. That saved a friend of mine a load of money once the courts found out she was living with a guy

She's a girl, I took some time to really think about this and here's the break down.
I'll have my baby only 78 days out of the year. She will have her 287 days, thats 1872 hours of work for me and 6888 hours for her. Plus she have to cook all of her meals, wash her up for bed time and take her back and forth to school. And there's many more things that I will not have to do. So I will not fight this.
