Lasik Surgery

I am considering the possibility of having Lasik surgery. I am tired of putting in my contacts every morning or wearing my glasses.

Has anyone had this surgery?

Were the results what you expected? Worse? Better?

Has your vision gotten any worse since the surgery?

Please give me specific details of what to expect. Thanks for your advice.

oh my god man! i had mine about 2 months ago.... it was the best thing i have ever done in my entire life!!!! my contacts were 3.25 and 3.75 When I came out... immediately i was 20/25

when i went back for a check up i was 20/20

when i came back one more time, just recently i was 20/15 !!!! I CAN SEE A FLEA PISS FROM A MILE AWAY!!!!

dont fall into the trick to get 'Custom' done... thats just a ploy to get more money. I know this because my doctor that did my surgery is a lifelong friend and told me that. Bausch & Laumb was my machine.

Get lifetime insurance/touchup.... if with time the eyes start to fade, you can get a touch up! It was the best spent money I could have ever done.... well.... i didnt spend it, my girl bought it for me..... she likes to buy me things!

definitely the thing to do! everyone here at work that i know that has it, loves it as well.... dont shop around for the lowest price, go to the BEST DOCTOR.... cant fuck with the eyes.

its not painful at all, just a little uncomfortable.... lasts maybe 8 minutes total for both eyes, and when you come out, you see perfectly, except its like the whole room is full of smoke.... after you go home and take a 4 hour nap you see perfectly clear. you need to use anibiotic drops that they give you and some other drops for a week.... then after that just use natural tear drops for a couple months and everything is good to go.... you can go swimming and everything after about 2 weeks.

had it done a few years ago. Put it on my credit card. Overall it was a good experience. I still need a touchup b/c my night vision sucks. Daylight i can see perfect but dusk, dawn, and night i should be wearing something. I was scheduled for a touchup and had to cancel and now have put it off for 2 years or so. Surgery lasted a few minutes. Afterwards everything was cloudy as hell. WEnt to hotel and took a short nap. Woke up and could see sportscenter clearly. Was a great moment.

classic! SPORTSCENTER.... not beautiful leaves on a tree, leaves color changing, beautiful butterflies whisping through the wind, ramblojobs speedos stretchy-ness, ramblojobs nutsak flapping through and through in the speedos, clit's police officer blow job clearly...... BUT SPORTSCENTER CLEARLY!

I am going to try to get this done at the end of the year with my year end bonus. It is going to cost me approximatley $4200 for both eyes. That is a small price to pay to have the freedom without contacts and glasses.

Not sure I want to see a flea piss but I would like the capability.

My contact box says -4.25 on my left eye and - 4.50 on my right eye so maybe they can get me fixed up.

the person they did before me was 7.75.... i think they may be able to help you!


p.s. a flea takin a leak is a pretty cool sight.

i was around a -4.5 as well. Mine was 1700 or 1900 per eye I believe.

Had mine done a year ago on the 30th. My astigmatism was so phooked up that I couldnt even get contacts to fit correctly. I was 20/100 left eye and 20/200 rt eye with -5 astigmatism. 3 minutes per eye later I was seeing across the room at pictures with more detail than I even hoped for. I was 20/25 10 minutes after surgery and my astigmatism was cut down to .70 or something like that. Next day follow-up I was a solid 20/20 and had some trouble with double vision driving at night...nothing extreme just that the brake lights looked wierd for a few weeks... at the 30 day follow-upo I was and still am at 20/15! I also reccomend the touch up plan. For the extra money its well worth it. Lasik Plus did mine and they ofered 18 months same as cash so I'll be paid in full in April 05. Mine was 1400 an eye and the Doc that did it is a trainer at Duke University.
Best money I ever spent... no more foggy ass lenses when I run in the cold or steaming up in the gym!

You can get it done in Canada for about $1700 total

just another option for you ! they have been doing the procedure
there longer , and i know at least a dozen people that went and had it done there with no problems

I had mine done almost 2 years ago by one of the top suergeons in the world.....best money I ever spent in my life!!!!

Before the surgery, my right eye was like 20/120 and my left eye was like 20/180. 2 years later, my eyesight is BETTER than 20/20 in each eye. My doctor said I'm probably closer to 20/10!!!!

Just get a good surgeon who has done many procedures. Don't opt for the "get lasik for $299 an eye...buy now pay later" deal. It's your vision man.

But I am extremely happy with mine.

My eyes are 5.00 and 5.75 blind as a bat without contacts. Looking to get mine done around January or Feb.
