alright well i always grew up listening to rap and shit, just because it was "cool thing" to do, well now i like to listen to alotta shit, but i have trouble finding rock songs that i like... if anyone can recommend some songs or groups id appreciate it.

What i do listen to give you an idea is metallica, 311, POD, saliva, linkin park sometimes, some korn, staind...

i always hear good songs on the radio but dunno who there by or the name, and blah i sound like a retard lol

First let me offer my condolences for the fact that you grew up listening to that noise pollution. Forget the rap bro. Btw, rap music is an oxymoron... If we all just stop listening, it WILL go away and, hopefully, never return.

Now you want some good music? The bands you mentioned are pretty good. Now just add in some older rock bands and you'll be good to go. Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Aerosmith, Zepplin, etc. These bands make/made great music that you can workout to, relax to, drink to, fuck to, etc.... Have a listen and enjoy. And remember, JUST SAY NO TO RAP.

Dude, try some of the internet streaming radio stations. You can pick all different types. iTunes is a good one (I think you need to down load Quicktime to get it) both were free.

I have seen COLD live with Godsmack last spring and Breaking Benjamin, Cold and Godsmack where worth it....I have to add Linkin Park, Hatebread, Slayer, Alice In Chains, Seether sorry if I forgot any...
