Someone say something sane really quickly. I just got my "raise". To be honest, I don't think I can take the insults anymore. I'm - <---- that close to walking out the door. It's straight fucking insulting! 800 dollars my balls! I'm sick all of a sudden. I think I need to go home.

All jobs suck. Sorry about the lousy raise. An xtra $800 a month does suck... That's like .38 an hour right? I guess I've gotten worse. I had a job once that bumped .25 per year. Although, It was definitely a dead end job with no opportunity for advancement, and I was 16. In man-style funds that sucks.

$800 a year?? Id head back to my desk and pack my bags. Thats a whopping 40 cents an hour. After they promised you a big raise after six months and have been dicking you around since the beginning, Id start a serious job search right away. If not, Thick is gonna kick your ass.

Which is the exact reason I'm still here. Sometimes being clearheaded sucks because it would have been much more fun to throw his desk on top of him.

Oh yeah, a cop is where it's at. Aside from the contacts that can be made, there's the free lifetime healthcare, the 80% pension and other little goodies that make the 20+ an hour to start more than worth it. In this particular department the pay scale jumps to 64k within 7 years. I'd say that's alright. A day's worth of OT each week and I'm pulling down over a grand a week. I can deal with that.

Cyniq- well, the test went very well, I think. I even ran the 1.5 miles faster than the majority of the people despite being 80lbs heavier than almost everybody. I'm also pretty certain that I aced, literally, as in 100%, the written portion, including the psychological test. They can't fool me with those silly questions. So, according to test scores and whatnot, I should be a shoo in. Too bad I'm not a colored person. Then I'd have that going for me, too. Anyhow, I'm hoping they don't call for another 10 days because if they do, then it's only to tell me to get fucked.

The overall quantity of money is only one concern. It's a pretty big concern, but let's look at the surrounding factors of my pissedness. The alcoholic inbreeder who I supervise who has missed 7 or 8 days or work and come in late 10 times in 7 or 8 months received approximately 600 dollars. Even more insulting was the fact that he started at more money than I did.

Another fellow also received 600 dollars. He, too, shows up, more or less, when he can be bothered. I, on the other hand, have missed 2 days in 13 months, 2 weeks and 2 days. That's a terrible occurence, I know, but I couldn't help but miss. I also had to come in late 3 times becuase of Dr's appointments and whatnot. Again, that's terrible, but what can I do?

Given this, isn't it just a HUUUUUUUGE kick in the balls or am I taking this too hard? What the fuck was the point of me being a model employee? Did I mention that I've never been late in those 13 months, 2 weeks and 2 days?

I must say, the review was humorous in a sick sort of way. Obviously, he knew what he was doing was totally wrong. Out of the 55 people he reviewed, I am the only one he had the warehouse manager sit in on. LOL He must have thought I was going to flip.

Furthermore, those central banks (including our own Federal Reserve) control the money supply, not our own federal government. Therefore, inflation is indeed caused by private parties.

I think you may have forgotten a couple of important points. One. Size matters. Two. Keep on seeking and ye shall find. Keep on asking and ye shall recieve.

So take your big 'ol ass into his office and SEEK. Fuck the asking part though. Go straight to the telling. How the cow ate the cabbage that is. I'm just muttering incoherent bullshit for the fun of it now... sorry.

But, call a meeting, give him the choice of two times. "I'm going to come see you tomorrow. Would 2:00 or 2:30 be better for you?" If he has chairs in his office. I would sit. Before invited. If he invites you to sit before you do. Stand. But make sure you stand close enough that he has to look UP at you. (that may be better than sitting anyway) and lay it out so he can play it out. Make sure you're clear that although you appreciate the opportunities that have been afforded (haha). If you're not given responsibilities and compensation more befitting your tremendous potential... You'll be forced to seek opportunities elsewhere.

That'd be my plan. Anyone second the motion?
