Dudes, Dimebag Darrel is dead. He was shot on stage last night. If you don't know who Dimebag is, I'm not going to tell you because you obviously have some terrible fucking taste in music and don't deserve to even hear the word Pantera, let alone speak of one of the members by first name.        |

sorry to hear this but I can honestly say I have never heard of him. I like pantera also but have never been into the names of who sings what. I like songs, not singers. Was it a fan that shot him? Quote:

It is a day of great mourning...Dimebag was considered one the BEST metal guitarists of his time. I'm still in shock...I have some nice wallpaper up on my computer as a tribute. He didn't deserve this...people here at work that follow Pantera are mourning his loss...I'm getting emails from buddies who can't believe it. A MAJOR, MAJOR loss in the heavy metal genre. The VULGAR DISPLAY OF POWER will never die...R.I.P. Dimebag, people won't forget! Shock |

I am probably one of the biggest PanterA fans out there.......When I heard this news this morning......I feel as if I have lost a family member.........Even if you dont know who DD is.......or if you dont like this kind of music.......it is such a sick thing to happen in general..........what a talented musician...and from the people who have met him........what a great personalty he was.... I will mourn this for quite some time...... This is one of the saddest days I have had to face...I could not even train today, my mind was everywhere else.... Poor Vinnie also.....had to watch his brother get gunned down by some FUC#%# AS# HOLE.........All I have to say is Phil better step up and take care of some unfinished business.......He better come out and be a man about this terrible situation........ Went to see a Pantera tribute last night and it was sad. In th eback of everyone's mind there was hope that someday Pantera would get back togethor but now some jackass has taken that away. Does anyone know if Phil has made any statements about this?

Phil...I still haven't heard anything from Phil on this. Watched a little of headbangers ball alst night (tribute to Dime). A lot of bands and people have spoken but yet to hear anything from Phil. If I do find anyhting I will let you know.

Thank you.....I saw the tribute on fuse that Julia did.......had all the bands like Anthrax and some others talking about Dime......I was in tears.....This hole situation is horrific and is so bothersom to me........I appreciate you keeping me informed.......it will go both ways......Still have not heard a statement from him though.... Thank you |

I live near his home town, and I use to see them goys alot at the local bars around here when they were just starting out in the early 80's.Alot of my friends were thier freinds,this tragedy is too close to home and I feel like I lost someone that I grew up with.This is especially bad for this to happen around the holidays.

Phil...I heard on a local station that Rex called Phil that Thursday and they ended up getting into a huge fight over this. I do not know all the details but the station said that Phil is no longer welcome at any of the memorial services.
