I will be watching the fight-- Even though he is nothing like he was before his trainer died, Tyson is still my favorite boxer and it is always interesting to watch him..

I watched an interview with him this morning and he seems to have cerebrally matured 25 years (making him about 32) He was talking about the bankruptcy and his struggles of late as if he had really found himself. I've bashed him up and down in the past but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see his state of mind. Focused and calm......almost well spoken. I'll be watching Friday if work allows for it. |

If he would ever get rid of that trash he calls friends who sucked him dry all these years he may turn out to be something again. He does sound different now. Maybe he finally got a reality check. Ever since the great Gus D'Amato died the "brothas" took over his career and naturally it turned to shit.

Occam, I agree with you completely. The last interview I saw with Tyson (about a month ago), he was calm, coherant, and spoke like a normal human being. I was quite surprised and was hoping that it wasnt just a "good day." Whatever it is, I hope he gets his head on straight and his training in order.

| actually met Tyson..
met him when he was in his prime and he was pretty cool...came over to shake hands, gave out autographs...big smile.....one of the nicer celebrities Ive met....As far as boxing goes, I feel he was always overrated. He had serious punching power but when you a world class boxer in front of him, he had serious problems...His people had him avoid guys like Lennox, Bowe and Holyfield because they knew he would have problems...Once he found a guy he couldnt intimidate, he was in trouble. I also feel that so many people took advantage of him that its sickening...And I would love to see him come back and think maybe he can with the heavyweight division the way it is...But the fct is, he doesnt intimidate guys anymore- guys wanna fight him...Shit, even Roy Jones wanted to fight him...

There's a bar in town that charges a small cover for the PPV, I'll probably go there and watch it. I wouldn't pay 40-50.00 for it though.........11

So many of that fucksticks fights have been rigged that i will never pay a cent to watch his stupid ass again. I will catch the highlights or if there was a bar with it than I would watch it
