Vacation....finally!!! Iberostar?

I'm planning my long due vacation for the end of Sept. I was thinking to go to one of the Iberostar resorts in Playa del Carmen Mex. or one in the Dominican. Looking for feedback. Which one did you go to and how did you like it? How was the gym? Any other resorts you like better(definitely want a big,all inclusive on the beach).

I went to the iberostar in the riveria maya. It was pretty good. THe only thing that wasn't was the food. We could only make reservations at the restaurants for 3 of our 7 nights there so the rest of the time you are stuck at the buffet which is mediocre. The steak house was real good. The gym was awful at the one we went to. My cousin went to the dominican and the gym was good from what he said..it was outdoors and pretty nice. the food was his only complaint about that one. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the heads up. Anyone else? How about the Riu chain? Any and all info on ANY resorts in Riviera Maya,Dominican or Cancun. I'm 44 and taking my girl if that helps.
