what does a background check involve???

I bet the check your credit report, are you a convict? well they will do a search at the police station, and if you have a warrent you will look pretty stupid when they help the police to arrest you

they typically will do the following:

Credit check - see if your in financial problems
Criminal
Education - if you say you have a Masters from Yale they will make sure you do.

Oh my god really. I am so fucked. What should I do. Just kidding scotsman. That is funny. NO, I am not a convict, but I am a college student with a few bumps on my credit. My score is roughly 620. So I don't think I am too bad. And I have yet to graduate. Can they get my transcripts, or do they have to ask for them.

If it's just a finance job and not in law enforcement, it will be just a criminal records check, a credit report check and an application check (education and personal references).
