Where to go in New Orleans

I am heading to New Orleans on Sunday and will be there until next Saturday. Just wondering if you have any tips on clubs, restaurants, strip clubs and things. Any advice would be great.

No brainer dude. Go down to the French Quarter and then you will see a slu of bars.

Of course, I know there are a ton of bars. I just wanted to know if anyone had any favorites, or secret little holes.

I live in New Orleans bro, been here all my life. The sure things on bourbon and there are a few....Pat Obrien's (drink a hurricane), Razoo's, Cats Meow. As far as strip clubs i would say the top two are Ricks Cabaret which is on Bourbon and the Gold Club right off bourbon at 727 Iberville (okay im a loser i know the addy). Good lil hole that's right outside the french quarter is a place called "Gold Mine", they have incredible Flamin Dr. Peppers and a must have in NOLA. Have fun bro and be careful..holla if u need more info.

Just keep in mind alot of the french quarter is a tourist trap, but im gonna give u a tip, bar called BBC (Bourbon Street Blues Co) upstairs bar is 3 for 1 drinks 24/7 shhhh dont tell anyone. )

lol New Orleans chewed me up and spit me out. Here's my New Orleans Story

I was down there w/ a group of college buddies a number of years back, stayed in a 2-story hotel room @ the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon. Marble floors, 3 bars, spiral staircases, the whole shabang. my buddy decides to befriend a bum @ 4am on a friday night and he feels bad for the guy so he tells him he'll put the dude up in our $600 a night hotel room, so long as the guy hooks up some coke for him (??yeah my friend is a real bumble fuck). he gets there and we're already racked out... he passes out on the floor and then the bum proceeds to stuff an oversized hockey bag with everything. 3 camcorders, digital cameras, laptops, wallets, cash, even my buddy's suit. what a fucking morning that was... I spent 2 days in the New Orleans police department during Mardi Gras...ever seen that place during Mardi Gras?? No cash, no ID. haha it's funny now but my buddy still hasn't lived that night down.
