Anyway you have Jay Cutler, Marcus Ruhl, Art Atwood because their are some meat heads that would like to be built like a fridgerator. Or "Rambling Freak" because some like to look totally fake.
But dude what about Darrem Charles, Victor Martinez, Gustavo Badell, Ahmad Haidar, or Shawn Ray circa '91 or Leverone in 92 or '96. Arnold is a good one. Lee Labrada at his prime is a good one, even Dennis Newman in the early 90's. |
Sorry, bro. I couldn't list every decent bodybuilder to ever compete like Priest, Nasser, Milos, etc. The people I chose to include represent certain body types and they were all relevent to a conversation I had with friends the day I posted the poll. As I stated in the original post, it's not about biceps or lat development. The Rock is no more of a body builder then Brad Pitt, yet the average person could easily find Rock's or Brad's build better on the eyes than Ronnie's. Henceforth the reasoning behind including Brad and Rock is to see how most of the Meso guys are obviously more into the builds of Arnold and Ronnie or Dexter than wimpy Brad Pitt. Personally, I expected Arnold to win hands down and didn't expect Brad to get many votes at all. The Rock offers a slightly more muscular version of "Hollywood buffness", but he still doesn't even come close to Arnold or Zane (who are wimpy in comparison to Ronnie or Dexter).
Jay Cutler is a massive jawed bastard, (as you eluded to earlier) and I will never include his non-Olympia ass in any poll that I create. Dexter is up there because he's been cheated out of the Olympia and everyone knows he's the most cut guy ever.
Levrone is cool, but like I just said, every choice actually represented a different level of Huge or Cut. Flex Wheeler was way better than Levrone or Ray, anyways.
You make a good point about including meatheads and fakes, but the true purpose of the poll was to compare Meso's views of the "perfect body" to the majority of America's, not compare body types within bodybuilding.
