Default Who else is constantly sick these days?

Unbelievable. What a year. Everyone's sick. I've been sick for almost two months. Had strep throat 3 times during that period. I've had two protein shakes in the last 48 hours, a whopping 400 calories, and if I even try to drink water it makes me cringe. The amount of size I've lost is depressing. I have pics of myself from halloween night that I'm going to post when I get them scanned in, and when I look at myself now it's almost not the same person. I weighed 209 at the doctor's office yesterday. Ouch, that hurts. My whole body feels like someone beat me with a baseball bat for an hour. Things were really going well for me once I started to use dual factor training (not AM's program but more based on Hogg's recommendations about heavy/med/light workouts). I guess I just wanted to vent a little and see who else is pissed off and miserable right now.

primomax, have your doc run a epstein barr test. anytime i feel run down for a prolonged period of time, i know my numbers are up and a test always verifies this. when that's the case i go to 'girlie lite' workouts for a month or two and then i go back to normal. i suspect a lot of guys have this (it's a form of chronic fatigue) but just don't know it. i've been feeling good for the past couple years in this respect but only because i'm able to catch it at the onset and slow down, take an immune booster and take care of myself. i was diagnosed in 1998 after a prolonged bout of 'feeling like shit'. hope this is not the case with you, but it's always good to check so you know.

Default Sick

Primo,
Hey Bro get some 1000mg vitamin C pills and take 5-6 a day, it is too much vitamin c but it always seems to help out when people get strep throat or sick. I take them everyday and haven't been sick in a long time. This is just a cheap suggestion, but if you continue to get sick I would take Chip's advice and see the Doc.

Doesn't your doc prescribe antibiotics???? This is the only way to really kill the symptoms if your sick that long it seems that your infection is just gettting worse. But hey I'm no doctor.

I take antibiotics every time, but it just seems to come back. I've been taking vitamin c, echinacea, goldenseal, bee pollen, you name it, but it keeps coming back. This has happened to me during this time of year for about three years now, but never this constant. I'm hoping this will be the last time I'm sick this year and I can start working out again and eating in a week or two. I've been to the doc 4 times already for this, which sucks because that costs a lot of money. I'll look into getting that test done, I just have to get some stuff cleared up with my new insurance first before I go back to the doc again. Karch, that sucks. That's a lot of stuff to have happen. I also had to miss the majority of the last two weeks of my internship, which wasn't the way I wanted it to end.

It's been a hard month or two. I managed to escape with only a small cold for a week (knock on wood), but everyone I know had the flu for at least two weeks.

yeah, i'm sick all the time to. I can't figure it out. It's either the aids or gonnorhea, or perhaps the syphillis.
