yes Atlas Shrugged is a good book, however, I like The Fountainhead better. Rumor has it that Ted Turner was trying to negotiate a deal to make the movie Atlas Shrugged (don't know what happened though).

well this is the first time ive read any of Ayn Rands stuff..ill definitely check out The Fountainhead

Everything Ayn Rand has written is great. I've only read Atlast Shrugged 2 times, but I've read the Fountainhead 7.

If Grizzly has read it (especially 7 times), it must be a picture book. Personally, I think Ayn Rand talks all kindsa crap.

Every man who has ever strived to live life to a higher standard, to be honest, productive, humble, yet driven is jon galt. To me the book was a window into what the future would become with some embellishments of course. If you are involved in manufacturing in the industrial sector in the present day it tells a story you are all too familiar with. The steel industry today is very much like the picture that was drawn in the book.
