Who uses Paxil??

Just wondering who here uses Paxil and why do they use it? I think I could benefit from it, but I am unsure if I should ask my doctor for a script.

ive used it and ill say this

too many docs are quick to hand out scripts .

if you need help then by all means ask for help

i lost my wife and a 6 figure job in one month and i was without any

doubt a danger to myself and others

it also took me a very long time to get off of it

as its very addicting and the side effects can be shitty

to sum up my recomendation

seak help from a true professional but if this for help dealing with a

temporary situation make sure your doctor knows this as well

I've been on handfuls of anti-depressants including Paxil. If you think you suffer from depression, anxiety or other issues I'd recommend seeing a psychiatrist. They'll be able to help you more than a family doctor would.

I lost 10 years of my life with mental illness that wasn't treated properly. If you need help you should see someone ASAP.

Very sorry to hear this bro..hope everything starts to fall back into place for you Borderbound.
For BIGDUDE...I myself had major depression...anxiety attacks (there was a time for 1 week I couldn't even get on the public bus to go to work, I would freak out, pretty much start crying and have to call my girl to come pick me up at the bus station) I was prescribed Celexa in the begining but there has been nothing that killed my sex drive more than that...I mean I couldn't even get a chubby even if I tried which made me more depressed. I reiterated my condition to my doc and he then prescribed Zoloft...after 3 weeks I felt like a new person. My fear, depression, anxiety just left...I couldn't understand how quick it worked. I only take Lorazapam's in the case that I MIGHT need them i.e. take off on a plane, etc. I RARELY EVER take them and am non dependent on them.
My suggestion is that you might have a chemical imbalance in your brain...again, I'm not a doctor but please do not take something like this lightly. It is a very dehabilitating condition which if left untreated could only worsen.
