funny story, i was in this sport shop, buying some wrist raps, and this guy approached me, asked me some bullshit questions, then goes "have you ever thought about wrestling?" i say "no, didnt wrestle in school" he goes "no, not that kind" so i automatically know hes referring to the fake shit, so i keep my ears open, and he hands me some card w/ this wrestling school on it, and a number, he tells me hes some kind of promoter, and someone who finds talent, said that i had a good build, and the "look" to wrestle, what do you guys think, bullshit? or should i look into it?....its all kinda funny really, grown men touching each others dicks, hot and steamy on a mat, but maybe thats just me, tell me what you think....Adieu

Hey, if getting hot and steamy on a mat with a guy name Matt floats your boat, then who I am to tell you otherwise. But seriously, I had a friend who went to wrestling school (paid a crazy amount of money for it) and well it was just a waste of money and he never wrestled other than in the school.

But, if you have a dream to be a pro wrestler, then give him a call and see what it's all about. It may just be a recruiting scheme to get you to shell out some cash or he may put you through the wrestling school for free. But either way, I hope it all works out for the best.

Don't laugh my man...99.9% of the people on this board couldn't hold a wrestler's jock when it comes to athleticism, etc. You DO hurt yourself, You DO get injured badly..You DO get thrown literally by a 280-300lb monster through the air like a sack of shit. Fake...in your terms yes it's not greco-roman it's "sports entertainment" but you really think people don't break ankles..fuck up their backs, necks, knees, etc.?? Shit is real. We have one of the best Wrestling schools up here with Killer Kowalski's school. True....only a select few can make it big-time..WWE. Pay is not good as an Indy wrestler (guys on the rookie circuits, etc.) but people who are wrestlers do it for the love of the sport.
A guy my old roomate works with used to be a very low level manager back in the 90's..he WAS Triple H's first manager when Triple H first got into wrestling. He has his own website...if you have the guys name and who he represents i.e. what federation or individual I can see how legit this setup is by asking this guy. If you want his website..PM me and I'll give it to ya so you can see I'm talking legit.

Man if someone thinks you have the talent I don't see what the harm in looking into it. You call, look for references and what not and see if he is legit. If he is some gay guy trying to get you in the sack-you just kick his ass. But if it is legit and you can make some decent money and not interfere with your diet and training then why not. Maybe a way to supplement your nutrition and supplement budget.

There is a up and coming wrestling promotor in your area, He gets alot of guys started in the biz. If this talent scout has anything to do with him it could be very lucrative for you. But remember most of the guys who own these so called wrestling schools will charge you to attend. Do your home work on the guy. I can tell from experiance that if you have what it takes you will make more money wrestling than you ever will working.
