i modded my own xbox. it's a LOT easier than you might think. but then again, i'm a bit of a geek, so i guess that's why it was kind of easy for me.

anyhoo, xbox is cool like that.

Im in florida.Im interested in getting a mod chip professionally installed.Does he do mail order? Also once the mod chip is installed do you have to do anything differently to play burnt games?

I'll bump this for an answer, I figure I can put my own mod chip in with a little instruction. I watched the Screen Savers show and they were showing all the emulated games you can run as well and install a 120 gig HD

on my xbox, i have a 120 gig hard drive. on this, i have 37 games, emulators and every single rom ever made for MAME(arcade), NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Atari, and Lynx. yes, my friends, my xbox kicks ass. oh, and since i ran out of room on my hard drive, i've burned around 40 DVD, each with anywhere from 1-4 full games. WOO!

I have played XBox with friends-- and I am planning on getting one when Halo 2 comes out-- i guess I will have to get a modded one now!

But seriously, I do this stuff on my comp. all the time, it is only logical to do the same on a game machine patterned after a computer.

Yeah, I'm running a 200gig drive on mine
The XboxMediaCenter thats available for free puts the XboxMusicMixer to shame. Using XBMC....I'm streaming Radio and TV stations directly to my Xbox!

**Just make sure you read all the tutorials on xbox-scene. The most important one being, in my opinion, how to be careful not to get BANNED from LIVE.
