hey guys, i read that some guys in the states are being prescribed low dossages of anavar, and then are taking the drug in a cyclic fashion, to prevent shut down of the hpta.

has anyone heard of this approach- how bad is the hpta suppression of anavar. also, how bad is the hairloss factor.

The only politically correct use of Anavar I know of is to treat AIDS related wasting. Anything other use can be considered providing a restricted drug for performance or cosmetic purposes. I do not know if the UK has the same politics surrounding AAS, as America does. There are antiaging clinics that do prescribe anabolics, but it is only a matter of time before they get raided and shut down.

I am currently taking 10 mg Anavar daily, in addition to my standard HRT protocol. (100 mg Testosterone Cyp weekly, 500 units hcg three times weekly, 2 mg arimidex weekly, 100 mg Deca (which is no longer available locally), and 2.4 units growth daily.) I have been on Anavar exactly one month and I have noticed that my body fat has decreased.

L30, what are you basing that info on? the reason i ask is because I had read an article that claimed basically the same thing only it was based on D-bol. The article stated that taking 10 mg of D-bol in the am would not shut you down, I have tried to find the article since but have not had any luck.
I have also read lab reports that state that one single 10 mg dose of D-bol can increase base test levels 500%...even if only for a short time, it seems to me that would shut you down.

I know, we're talking about var but what you said sounded exactly like what i had read and i am just wondering where you got the info.

i am very interested in your approach. basically i dont want to cause overly elevated levels or hpta suppression. i was thinking that 10mg a day anavar for 6 weeks on and then 6 weeks off, would be beneficial, as hopefully it would give me a little testosterone boost, without causing too many liver problems of hpta suppression. more importantly, i believe even a small dossage of anavar would reduce shbg, which would be much more beneficial for me than doing masses of hrt.

what do you think (i would literaly just be doing 10mg of anavar and a little arimidex a day as the only form of trt

Sorry that is incorrect. This theory has been around forever and was brought about by the belief that non-aromatising drugs like anavar, winstrol, or primo did not cause negative feedback at the hypothalmus and therefore did not shut down natural test production. This is not the case...These drugs will also cause inhibition to some degree even at a low morning dose. I know guys that have had bloodwork to prove it.

also would we be able to prevent suppression by either cycling the anavar, 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off, or by using some nolvadex

You would have to talk to a doctor for specific medical advice about the HPTA............but I can tell you from life experience that Anavar would be the only oral steroid that I would use.........From the bodybuilding experts that I use to run with, they always claimed it was the safest oral steroid on the market and has the least amount of side effects...........I know I enjoyed its effects and had very little "sides"............JMO
