Dumb question...injecting

Hey guys,
I always have been unsure about this but felt stupid asking. When you self-inject in the thigh, how far in do you actually press the syringe needle? I'm using a 1.5 inch needle and always feel like I'm not putting it in far enough, but have never read any guidelines as to how far it should go. Any suggestions?

I would use the cap and cut it to one half an inch and put this over the needle so no more then one inch goes into your leg. One and a half is to lg.

I inject into my thigh every week. What is acceptable for me is a 23G. 1'' needle. Unless you have quads like a pro bodybuilder.

23 G 1" for the thigh and I leave just a bit sticking out, like 1/8". ~10BF - not much fat on my thigh. Feels like it is going in deep enough.

I do fine with a 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. I have used a 25g 3ml x 1" lg needle and my tests using a 27 g are the same. To me a 23 g is a dam big hole in the leg. When I was getting my shots at the Dr.'s they used a 25g x 1 & 1/2 " needle to shoot into the rear.

Yea, I meant 25g for thigh, not 23g.
