I was reading over on Dr. Crislers site about this. There was an article written from a doctor who has stated that he treats many patients with high-dose TRT. Using very high miligrams per week. What are the negative effects of using a high dose of testosterone cyp per week long term? I am currently being treated with 200mg per week of test cyp. This puts my total test at 950ng which is in the high normal range. I also use HCG at 250iu twice per week and .25 mg of arimidex 3 times per week. I know that 200mg per week of Test Cyp is considered a bit high, are there any documented accounts of doses like this producing extreme problems for people using it long term? Thank you |

Someone who needs testosterone supplementation, need to have it done the correct way. When you say that you are on 200mg/week and test at TT=950 there may be a problem with your statement, way that you apply your testosterone and way that you are testing it. Most likely you are injecting once a week and draw blood right before the next shot is due. That is long time to wait. In that time your TT may have been very high and the fall to rather low level. Those fluctuation may bother you or may not, something to remember if you do not feel right. One is not supposed to pay much attention to Total Testosterone level. Important is BioAvailable testosterone. Actually, even FreeT is not important for couple reasons, one being that if it is assayed value (ie, not calculated) it is most likely wrong. You may actually need that 200mg/week if your SHBG is high. Best way to sort things out is to do frequent injections using same (in this case 200mg/week) average weekly dose. I inject every day, using very small 31Ga needle. One day T+AI next day 380iu HCG and so on. I draw a blood on day of the shot, time of the shot before shot. My blood test values follows table that I developed on my post #40 Jan's BloodTest April13/2007 - Page 2 100 776 xx5 300 14.4 250 105 805 xx7 300 16.5 250 110 833 xx9 300 18.6 250 115 861 10.8 300 20.7 250 120 889 xx13 300 xx23 250 125 917 xx15 300 xx25 250 130 946 16.7 300 x27.3 250 135 974 18.7 300 x29.4 250 140 1002 xx21 300 x31.5 250 145 1030 22.6 300 x33.5 250 150 1058 24.5 300 x35.6 250 155 1087 26.4 300 xx38 250 160 1115 28.4 300 xx40 250 165 1143 30.4 300 x42.2 250 170 1171 32.3 300 x44.4 250 175 1199 34.3 300 x46.3 250 180 1228 36.3 300 x48.5 250 185 1256 38.2 300 x50.7 250 190 1284 xx40 300 x52.8 250 195 1312 xxxx 300 xx55 250 200 1340 xx44 300 xx57 250 For some reason this table undeshoots about 10-15% that means that the 200mg/week would give TT about 1250, much close to average level. What all that mean, ist that if your SHBG=~38 you actually need that 200mg/week so do not feel guilty until you figure this thing out properly. . . Last edited by JanSz; 01-24-2008 at 06:40 PM. |

I'm at 120 mgs a week and testing in the 1100. I must be supersentivie to the stuff Jansz brings a aggod point 1. what is your schedule like dosing 2. When is blood being drawn in relation ship to hcg shot or test shot 3. You have other issues if your T is 950 and on 200 mgs a week. Cortisol or thyroid is imbalaced needs to be ruled out 4 where is your dhea. dermacrine at 10 sprays a day will double your free testosterone and bioavialable and alos bump e2 up as well so be aware of that. What were your e2 reasdings last test |
