Elbow Surgery!?

hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone has had elbow surgery and if so what happend or what kind of surgery, because in my right elbow just above my elbow bone and below my tricep its swollen and it puffs out when i do tris and sometimes hurts i think i may have injured some tendons or legiments in there but in not sure, right now im kinda low on $ so im goin to wait a bit to see a doc any one have advice as to what is goin on with it or what i need to do.....

I know exactly what is going on with your 'Bo', Bro!!
For well over 15 years I experienced swelling and pain on both of my elbows.
3 years ago I was doing DB presses and was having pain in my right elbow when all of a sudden I felt and actually heard a pop in the elbow. Fortunately, I had an Ortho friend in the gym at the time and he took me to his office - shot me up with some pain meds and scheduled surgery within 3 days of the injury. What had transpired was I had several tendons torn from the elbow over time and it was hanging on by one last thread so to speak - "the last guitar string". The doctor told me he had brought the outer 2 tendons into the middle and anchored them with 4 screws in the bone. And 3 years later it is just about 100% - now he tells me it want be long before the left elbow goes - Oh! Happy Day!!!!!!!
Good luck and maybe yours is not this severe.

Dammit, thanks alot Lee you made my day!! jk that sucks it feels like the same thing i just hope thats not the case though so... can u lift on it the same or lift the same weight

DaneGer - My surgery-repaired elbow is doing great! I am still 'gun-shy' though. I am 48 years old, so by no means am I lifting the weights I used too, nor do I ever expect to. But I am training with good intensity and still able to enjoy it all. I know of alot of lifters who have experienced elbow discomfort and through time have healed nicely and continue to train like 'there's no tomorrow'. Just be careful. Peace out!
