would using a short acting ester like prop lessen the water retention many trt patients experience? eg if propionate was used at say 25mg every other day would you hold less fluid than if you were to inject cyp or enan at 100mg/week? has anyone seen any difference other than more stable blood levels changing from 100mg/week of cyp to say a split injection of 50mg of cyp twice per week specifically fluid retention if they suffered with this? CONSIDERING ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL ESTROGEN LEVELS HAVE BEEN KEPT IN CHECK? i know this may sound vain but in relation to water retention,if someone experiences this whilst on trt(even though it is not estrogen related) and wants to lessen it prior to going on vacation, whilst bodyfat levels are low many of us want to look as good as possible. leaving HEALTH benefits of TRT to one side and only considering the visual aspect for the LADIES? i know this is shallow of me but i always was a POSER ! If the edema has caused you to have high blood pressure you could probably get a diuretic that could reduce or eliminate the problem as well as high blood pressure. I've noticed edema ever since I started TRT and since my blood pressure is about 10 or 15 pts higher now coupled with the fact that I have high blood pressure to begin with that was under control prior to TRT I think my doc will likely give me "water" pills the next time I see him. As to your specific question, I don't know about splitting doses and edema. I would imagine that if the edema was caused by E2 problems then splitting the dose would help. If no E2 problems exist then I don't know if it would make a difference. Also, eating a low salt diet may help as well. |

thanks ASaxon for the reply, anyone else have an opinion on esters used or frequency of injection with relation to fluid retention. i know over time many who experienced edema at first when starting TRT experience less of it as time goes on. i was just wondering if esters or frequency of administration would have any part to play. |
