Default feeling great but my hair- how to stop hairloss

guys im feeling awesome on the gels, but my hair is starting to fall out. not drastic but noticable.

is there anything i can do (keeping in mind im only 20). my dad has a full head of hair and hairloss isnt really a familly trate. when i rub in the gels i already only rub it into a small area.

what else can i do. are there any otc supplements which work, vitamins ect.
i dont particularly want to be messing around with anti dht stuff like sawpalmetto, id rather target the root of the problem with a shampoo or vits.

any advise appreciated.

I wonder if there is some correlation between how effective the gels can work/how good they make you feel and hair loss. I was a little older (36) and already had a thin hairline when I started the gels but it rapidly accelerated my hair loss which is severe now. But I feel like superman, have a great libido and my body is lean and ripped now from weightlifting and my diet. I use rogaine now and a shampoo that many recommend (nizoral and somethng else in it). But I think I better save up for hair tranplants at this point.

I started gel at age 42. I also noticed my hair fall out faster. My barber recently suggested a shampoo / conditioner combo named Nioxin. I dont know if it works or not, have only used it a couple weeks. But it does claim to remove DHT from the scalp.

Hair loss is caused by excess DHT which then binds into the hair rooting cells

Get your Doc to switch you to Test cyp injections instead of GEL. GEL's seem to give higher DHT levels and hair loss over injections.

Also head and shoulders(zinc pyrithione) and Nizoral(Ketoconazole) shampoo have both been shown to reduce hair loss in studies.

You can use Saw Palmetto 10-20 minutes topically in your scalp before your shower. Also don't forget Minoxidil.

im going to switch to shots at end of summer, as gels are a bit of a pain. it must be the conversion through the skin which causes the conversion.

either way will look into the shampoo (but nioxin is an anti dandruff shampoo no!) and perhaps consider this topical saw palmeto. where can one get it from

any vitamins or such like help?

The Nioxin I have is not a dandruff shampoo. It "claims" to "remove environmental residue and DHT". Other shampoos claim to work in the same way but I can't say if any of them really do including Nioxin since I have only used it a couple weeks.

You could also try azelaic acid cream, which is claimed to block 99% of DHT in the hair follicles.

I got this at a chain in my area (northern Virginia) called Hair Cuttery.

There are two bottles, a shampoo and a scalp therapy which is kind of like conditioner.

The shampoo is called:
Nioxin
Cleanser
For Fine Hair

1

Natural Hair
__________
Normal To
Thin-Looking

The Scalp Therapy which goes on second is called:

Formerly BioNutrient Actives Scap Therapy

NIOXIN
Scapl Therapy
For Fine Hair

1

Natural Hair
__________
Early Stage
Of Thinning

I gave you exactly what the label says because I did not see this on their website although I didnt look hard. The cleanser (shampoo) is the one that claims to remove DHT. My barber said I need to use both though. It does make my hair look thicker but it might only be that way because of the conditioner part which I did not use before so may hair stuck up more and now is more flat or matted. I cant say if it helps stopping it from falling out yet.

so i bourght some nizoral, 20mg/g 100ml, and i want to add some topical saw palmetto to the mix. how should i do it. should i use the liquiid, which is a tinctiture which apparently each ml is equivalent to 500mg of dried herb, or should i use the capsule contents, each of which are 450 mg.either way i want to mix the contents with the nizoral, so which should i use.

all the best
