Phil,

Just wanted to let you know my husband went to see Dr. Stevens. I was surprised because he didn't want him to use HCG short but felt he should have a stress test, PSA and go up tp 10 g. of the Androgel. He didn't seem concerned about testing his serum level for estradiol. He saaid he only had about 2 men using the HCG. My hubby has been on 50 mg. of Androgel for about 6 mos. and his T. level is still low. Dr. suggested shots might be best way to go, so if Androgel doesn't work, he's probably going to try the shots after 3 mos.

Hi sorry it took so long to get back to you. Yes he would what to do other things first like doing more gel or shots to get his levels up first. But then once he is leveled HCG if you pushed him for it he would give it to him. I find it odd he would not test Estradiol unless you don't have health care to pay for it. As he gets his levels up he will need to test Estradiol.

He's supposed to go in for PSA and stress test, so I asked him to request estradiol test from his primary care doc. He just started the 10 g of Androgel yesterday and will have a serum level test in 3 mos. I don't think he's very excited about shots, but if he experiences any shrindeage or other side effects, I believe he will be more open to HCG shots. He did say he is open to the T shots from the doc, locally, if his T isn't up in 3 mos.

Most Dr.'s don't even know how to treat or even test men Dr. Stevens is good and goes slow because he knows it someone ends up going to high on there levels coming down on the dose will cause more problems in how one feels going down then going up slow. And If he has a problem all he needs to do is call him most times he fix's things over the phone. No one should start on HCG until the are leveled with good levels and feeling better. Yes his testis can start to get smaller mine were the size of small grapes after 23 yrs then I found out about HCG and after all them yrs my testis come back to there normal size. So go slow and try to test every 8 weeks.
