I think I have finally found a Dr. that will be receptive to my TRT requests. I have been to one physician has offered to do TRT but with testosterone shots only and one that basically treated me like I was just in to score some "gear". I am looking for something a little more moderate and when I mention hcg, they immediately say something about that it is only if you want to have kids and very expensive. I am thinking they are cosidering 5,000iu type dosing. In reading many posts on this board, it is the popular opinion that hcg should not be used as sole TRT and "test is best". I am scared to go on testosterone shots because I don't know if I can ever come off and I want to have kids eventually and being infertile won't be cool. I don't want full blow TRT to be the cannonball that sinks my leaky ship so to speak. Relavent Stats Age: 26 Total Testosterone: 354 Free Testosterone: 71 (range: 35-155) IFG-1: 224 (range: 100-402) FSH: 2.7 (range: 1.6-8.0) LH: 3.6 (range: 1.5-9.3) Prolactin: 8.6 (range: 2-18) I am thinking about requesting a hcg protocol of 250iu monday and thursday. This is because it appears my hpta is not a total wreck but needs a little push according to my FSH primarily. Low-dose hcg should preserve fertility. This thread got me excited Can HCG Restart the H/P Axis To Become Self-sufficient Again? I realize its a very specific case, but seems to make sense to me Does anyone have any other advice or protocol I should look into presenting to my Dr.? Also, if anyone happens to know where I can find a similar hcg protocol I can print out, that would be great. I have been looking for something online but can't find anything that looks "professional" enough to give my physician. Thanks guys Last edited by lepiricus; 10-07-2005 at 12:03 AM. I was concerned in the beginning as well. But I've done a lot of research since then and I think I am better educated on the matter now. This is my perspective. 1) Appropriate TRT+hCG=fertility 2) Appropriate TRT can be discontinued at any time, and testosterone will go back to where it was. It is different that recovery after an AAS cycle, because appropriate TRT doesn't put intense negative feedback onto the HPTA like AAS cycles. |

First, I agree with mranak, in that appropriate TRT will not cause problems for you. But, if you still feel that you want to go with hCG only, then 250IU twice a week may not be your best option. You may need a smaller amount every day, or every other day. For thorough information on this exact topic, do a search in this forum for author DavidZ, with the word primer in the subject line. And by the way, hCG is cheap. Maybe the doctor meant to say that HGH is expensive?
