HCG injection question

I have 5/16" 30ga insulin syringes for hcg. What I have been doing up to this point, is to stick the needle straight into the skin, at a 90 degree angle, all the way in and inject my 250IUs. I've wondered if that is the correct method. Like maybe the hcg is going into the fat layer underneath the skin and is getting wasted.

But today I tried something different. I inserted the needle only about halfway, at a sharp angle, trying to put the hcg right underneath the surface of the skin instead of 5/16 of an inch underneath. I ended up with a little bubble right underneath the skin. About 15 minutes has passed and the bubble is still present.

Did I botch this injection? Should I do it again? And which way is the correct way, pushing it all the way in or just slightly underneath the skin? Thanks in advance.

Straight into the fat, deep. Or Intra-muscular if u want. You can pretty much jab it anywhere - kinda good cos i got bored just shooting my stomach fat all the time.

Don't worry about the bubble - it will disperse itself over time. Just dont shoot it under the skin like that again.

Ok, thanks Stez. Do you think the hcg will get absorbed, or should I reshoot, since I only do it two days per week?

It will get absorbed. Where else is it gonna go? Relative who's a nurse said they used to do sub-Q shot like that all the time WAYYYYYYY back when she first started and they never had any probs. The main reason that they switched the the way we do it now (into the fat) is that there's less discomfort and the patient isn't as paranoid about the bubble.

Earthdog, you gave yourself a subdermal injection. The whole point of a sub-Q injection is to get it into the subcutaneous fat.
