HCG can be used in two ways: as a kick start protocol, where you're trying to restart the HPTA-axis and as (part of) a
TRT protocol.
The old school kick start protocol consits of shooting massive amounts of HCH into the body (usually 2500IU or more at a time, several says a week), but for a BRIEF period. Doing this longer will increase the risk of Leydig cell desentisisation.
The
TRT use of HCG consists of injecting SMALL amounts of HCG. The HCG is needed to counterbalance the negative feedback signal that a T-injection gives to the body: after an ijection the body senses that there is enough T. So it decreases the roduction of FSH and LH. When LH levels drop, the testes shrink and shrivel up. As a consequence the body will also produce less natural T. This is where small amount of HCG come in: as a LH-mimick, injecting small amounts of HCG will stimulate the Leydig cells to maintain there size and to maintain production. As an additional bonus, HCG seems to have a good effect in diminishing my "rollercoaster ride feeling".
In conclucion: HCG has a place in
TRT, but do not use it "OLD SCHOOL". If you use it, inject small amounts and keep a close eye on your E2 levels. Also check out the sticky "
TRT: a recipe for succes".
